We have a very special guest joining us at the next I Love North Shields Coastal Vintage Market.
Carol Macdonald is bringing a wonderfully mixed collection of belongings ready to find new homes—and her husband, Newcastle United legend Malcolm ‘Supermac’ Macdonald, will be joining her.
Malcolm will sign photographs for customers purchasing football memorabilia from their stall.
A HOUSE FULL OF FINDS
Carol and Malcolm recently downsized, leaving Carol with plenty of interesting things that they no longer have room to keep.
“I’m looking to sell all kinds of items, as we recently downsized and I have quite a lot of interesting things to hopefully re-home,” Carol explained.
Many of the pieces are currently in storage, and Carol admits she has probably forgotten some of what is waiting to be rediscovered.
That means the stall could contain a few surprises when everything is unpacked for the market.

WHAT WILL BE ON THE STALL?
Visitors can expect a real mixture, including:
- Antiques
- Glassware
- Books
- Boots and clothing
- Collectables
- Football memorabilia belonging to Malcolm
This is exactly what we love about a vintage market: personal collections, unexpected finds and objects that come with stories of their own.
SPECIAL GUEST: MALCOLM ‘SUPERMAC’ MACDONALD
For Newcastle United supporters, Malcolm Macdonald needs little introduction.
One of the club’s greatest number nines, Supermac became a Newcastle United icon during the 1970s. He scored a hat-trick against Liverpool on his home debut and went on to score 138 goals in 258 appearances for the Magpies.
His pace, power and goalscoring made him a firm favourite at St James’ Park. He helped Newcastle reach the 1974 FA Cup Final and the 1976 League Cup Final before moving to Arsenal.
Malcolm also represented England, famously scoring all five goals in a 5–0 victory over Cyprus at Wembley in 1975.
He has since been inducted into the Newcastle United Hall of Fame.
At the Coastal Vintage Market, Malcolm will be alongside Carol and will sign photographs for anyone buying football memorabilia from their stall.
