The Coastal Vintage Market will bring together an ever-changing mix of independent vintage dealers, antique specialists, collectors and creative businesses from across the North East.

Every market is individually curated to create an interesting mix of traders and stock. The layout and line-up change with every edition, so there is always something different to discover.
A vintage market with a coastal twist
For this special Coastal Edition, we are celebrating the character, creativity and heritage of North Shields and the wider North East coast.
Alongside our vintage and antique traders, a small selection of independent makers will bring work connected to the coast, craftsmanship and life beside the sea. Expect ceramics, jewellery, textiles, photography, original artwork and thoughtfully made pieces that complement the vintage market.
With Christmas approaching, it will also be a lovely opportunity to find meaningful presents from independent traders—without relying on the usual high-street shops.

Live music, food and the Vintage Social
This is more than a shopping event.
The Vintage Market runs from 10am until 4pm, with live music, food, drinks and our informal Vintage Social continuing until 7pm.
Take your time, have something to eat, enjoy a drink, listen to North East musicians and spend the day exploring Salt Market Social and North Shields Fish Quay.
The full trader, food and music programme will be announced in the run-up to the event.

The atmosphere at our markets matters just as much as what is for sale.
Our previous markets have brought together people of every age and background to browse, talk, listen to music, share stories and enjoy being part of something local.
Come on your own, meet friends, bring the family or bring your dog. You do not need to be a dedicated vintage collector—curiosity is more than enough.

Salt Market Social is located on North Shields Fish Quay, within walking distance of North Shields Metro and Transport Hub.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, with lift access between its two floors. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Please check live Metro, ferry and local travel information before setting off, particularly during poor weather or planned engineering works.
