The ILNS Photography Collective has announced the date of its next community photo walk – and everyone is invited.

Taking place on Saturday 28 June, the free walk will bring together photographers of all abilities for a relaxed morning exploring the riverside, capturing local scenes and celebrating the unique character of North Shields and South Shields.

Participants will meet at North Shields before taking the ferry across the Tyne, offering plenty of opportunities to photograph the river, the coastline, local landmarks and everyday moments along the way.

Whether you’re an experienced photographer, enjoy taking photos on your phone, or simply want to meet like-minded people, the walk is open to all.

The ILNS Photography Collective was launched to connect local photographers, encourage creativity and create opportunities for people to share skills, learn from one another and document life in North Shields through photography.

Rachel Riley, who leads the collective, said the walks are about bringing people together and encouraging them to see familiar places through a different lens.

The event is free to attend, but advance booking is recommended.
