I Love North Shields is opening a new Pop-Up Gallery at Low Quay Brew Co, featuring photographs taken during the recent Wall Mural Photowalk, where around 70 people came along to explore and photograph the town’s mural trail.
This pop-up gallery showcases work created by the people who took part — capturing the murals, the details, and the little moments they noticed along the route. It’s a chance to see North Shields through the eyes of the community who joined the walk.
The pop-up gallery gives local residents the chance to see the results of the photowalk on display, meet the volunteers involved, and learn more about how the collective works. It follows on from the group’s first pop-up earlier this year and continues the aim of giving people a way to take part, build confidence, make friends and document their own town.
Simmie Harper, founder of I Love North Shields, said:
“This gallery is a direct result of people coming together sharing their love for photography. Photowalk Two has produced some great images, and it’s good to see them up on the walls for everyone to enjoy.”
The launch event is open to the public from 6pm to 10pm, with drinks available to buy from Low Quay Brew Co.
The exhibition will stay in place after the opening night so visitors can drop in during normal bar hours.
