I’ve been doing photography for around 12 years now. Starting when I took a trip to New York and using just a small point and shoot digital camera to capture all that the city had to offer. When I got back I upgraded my camera to a DSLR and got through the basics with a little help from some friends.
After this I instantly fell for sunrises and sunsets around the city. I absolutely love the feeling of getting up before everyone else and just shooting around the city and capturing natural light. From the city I would switch it up and head over to the coast and love capturing the sunrises by the sea.
North Shields is one of my favourite places by the coast as I love to take the street photography I’ve learned and use it on the fish quay and the fishermen. The fish quay is full of interesting characters and combining that with sunrise or sunset is absolutely amazing.
Collaborating with ILNS has been great and some of the projects I’ve done already have been amazing, from organising the first photo walk with Rachel and Dave to capturing Anthony Downie’s mural for Elevation Mural Festival and I Love North Shields. Recently I had the chance to help out and collaborate with the new merchandise shoot for I Love North Shields.
