The I Love North Shields Photography Collective, in collaboration with Caviar Studios and Wex, is bringing photographers together for a full Creative Photography Day in Newcastle on Sunday 4 October 2026.
Spend the day photographing professional models, experimenting with creative studio sets, trying professional cameras and lenses from Wex, and developing your studio photography in a relaxed, collaborative environment.
The event is open to photographers of different experience levels. Whether this will be your first time photographing in a professional studio or you already have studio photography experience, the day is designed to give you the freedom to experiment, learn and create new work for your portfolio.

Caviar Studios is around a five-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station, making the event easily accessible by train and Metro from across Newcastle, North Tyneside and the wider North East.
What to Expect
Photograph Professional Models
A selection of professional models will be joining us throughout the day.
Photographers will have the opportunity to work with different looks and styles across Caviar Studios’ creative sets, providing plenty of scope for portrait, fashion and creative photography.
The aim isn’t for everybody to go home with exactly the same photographs.
Experiment with composition, lighting, poses and ideas and create images that reflect your own photographic style.
Explore Caviar Studios’ Creative Sets
Caviar Studios is a professional photography and content studio in Newcastle with a range of distinctive sets and creative shooting spaces.
During the Creative Photography Day, you’ll be able to move beyond the traditional blank studio environment and experiment with different backgrounds, settings and ideas.
If you usually photograph outdoors or on location, this is also an opportunity to discover what working in a professional studio environment can offer.
Try Cameras and Lenses from Wex
Wex will be joining us on the day with a selection of professional photography equipment for attendees to try.
This gives photographers the opportunity to get hands-on with different cameras and lenses while actually shooting in a studio environment.
Details of the equipment available will be announced closer to the event.
Studio Photography Guidance and Support
The day will be led by Dexter Johnson, photographer at Caviar Studios, who will be available throughout the event to help photographers make the most of the studio, models and sets.
The I Love North Shields Photography Collective team — Rachel Riley, Gary Ormston and Jess Riley — will also be there throughout the day to offer support, share ideas and help create a friendly, collaborative atmosphere.
You don’t need previous studio photography experience.
If you’re unsure about working with models, studio settings or equipment, there will be people around to help.
How the Photography Day Works
You can book a morning photography session, afternoon photography session or the full Creative Photography Day.
Morning Studio Photography Session – £50
9.30am: Arrival
9.45am: Studio tour
10am–12pm: Photography session
You’ll have a two-hour photography session with professional models and access to Caviar Studios’ creative sets.
Lunch
12pm–1pm
Full-day ticket holders will have a one-hour lunch break.
There are places to eat nearby, or you’re welcome to bring your own lunch.
Afternoon Studio Photography Session – £50
1pm: Arrival
1.15pm: Studio tour
1.30pm–3.30pm: Photography session
The afternoon provides another two-hour session with professional models and the opportunity to explore the studio and its different setups.
Photography Networking – 3.30pm–4.30pm
We’ll finish the day with an informal hour of networking for photographers.
Full-day attendees are welcome to stay, and photographers attending the morning session are also invited to return.
It’s an opportunity to meet other photographers from Newcastle and across the North East, talk photography, share ideas and make new connections.

Morning Session – £50

Afternoon Session – £50
Includes a two-hour studio photography session with professional models and access to the creative studio sets.
Full Day – £75
Attend both photography sessions for £75, saving £25 compared with purchasing the morning and afternoon sessions separately.
The full-day ticket includes both studio photography sessions, the lunch break and afternoon networking.

The studio offers a variety of distinctive spaces and sets for photography and content creation.
For one day, photographers attending the Creative Photography Day will have the opportunity to explore the studio, work with professional models and experiment in an environment very different from photographing outdoors or on location.

If you need to cancel your booking, please give at least 48 hours’ notice by email.
Eligible refunds are subject to a £5 administration charge.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable.
