A new community-led vintage market is set to take place in North Shields this April, bringing together local traders, creatives and residents for a day centred around sustainability, style and shared stories. I Love North Shields Vintage Market: Handpicked. Reimagined. will take place on Sunday 26 April 2026 at Salt Market Social, running from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Founded by the community platform I Love North Shields, the event has been carefully curated to showcase around 50 independent vintage traders and creatives, alongside live music, photography, and a full day of activity designed to bring people together. The market celebrates the growing movement towards reuse and conscious consumption, while also shining a light on North Shields’ evolving creative scene and independent businesses. Alongside vintage stalls, visitors can take part in interactive experiences throughout the day. Highlights include a Dress Up Corner, where people can try on vintage pieces from the 1930s to the 1960s, explore personal style, and capture their own photos — adding a playful and immersive element to the event.
