Noreen is a writer and member of Carte Blanche women’s writing group. As well as writing poetry (published in Iron Press and Northern Voices) she has had two children’s books published, and several short stories. She is also a playwright—plays performed include Not Some Kind of Sideshow (Northumberland Theatre Company) and Tynemouth Pageant. She also won the People’s Play competition in 2001 with Bloodlines. 

Love North Shields has welcomed a new addition to its growing team, with North East-based social media creator Lucy Delaney joining the platform. Lucy, who is based in North Tyneside, brings a strong focus on heritage, music and storytelling, creating content that highlights both well-known landmarks and lesser-seen parts of the local area. Her work centres on documenting place and experience in a way that feels accessible and engaging, with a particular interest in the stories behind locations and everyday life.
