The exhibition launches with an opening night on Wednesday 24 September 2025, showcasing photography created during the community’s very first #ILNSPhotowalkOne. Earlier this summer, around 30 people gathered at the Fish Quay — strangers at first, but united by a love of photography. From those beginnings, the group successfully applied for funding through the North Shields 800 Community Grants Scheme, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. A £1,000 award allowed I Love North Shields to stage its debut exhibition.
